Rams QB Silva Named Conference Player of the Week
Framingham State linebacker Jacobson named Conference defensive player of the week.

Senior quarterback Matt Silva, a Dracut High product, was selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week and sophomore linebacker Svenn Jacobson has been chosen as the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5.
Silva went 29-for-35 for 261 yards and five touchdowns and no interceptions in the Rams 42-6 opening week victory over Endicott College. Silva had a hand in all six Rams touchdowns, throwing for five and rushing for one as well.
Jacobson, the 2014 MASCAC Defensive Rookie of the Year, tallied a game-high 11 tackles including five solo stops with a forced fumble against Endicott. The Framingham State defense held the Gulls to just 60 yards rushing in the game.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday when they host Cortland State at Bowditch Field at noon in Framingham.
