Rams Volleyball Voted Preseason Favorite to Win MASCAC Title
The Framingham State University volleyball team finished a perfect 6-0 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference last year.
The Framingham State University volleyball team has been chosen as the preseason favorite to capture the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Title in voting conducted by the league’s coaches.
The Rams, who captured both the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and Tournament Championships in 2014, grabbed five first place and 35 total points in the preseason poll.
The Rams finished a perfect 6-0 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in the 2014 and are led by the first team All-MASCAC duo of juniors Alycia Rackliffe and Julia Wan.

Rackliffe led the MASCAC in hitting percentage (.302) and blocks per set (.80), while Wan was second in serving aces per set (.50) and fifth in total kills with 291.
Bridgewater State landed second in the preseason poll with a single first place vote and 28 points, while Westfield State was in the third spot with the final first place vote and 26 points.

Worcester State and Salem State were fourth and fifth with 25 and 15 points, respectively. MCLA (12 points) and Massachusetts Maritime Academy (six points) close out the poll in sixth and seventh.
The Rams open the 2015 season on Friday, Sept. 4, with a pair of matches against Daniel Webster and Regis at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
