Screening Committee To Help Pick Wilson Elementary Principal

A screening committee will rank the applicants and interview the finalists.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The screening committee members have been named to search for the next principal of Wilson Elementary School.

The following individuals are on the newly-formed committee:

Amy Bright, Director for Elementary Education
Jacqueline Carrasquillo, Elementary Teacher
Joseph Corazzini, Assistant Superintendent for Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement
Evanggelia Diamantopoulos, English as a Second Language Coach
Paula Del Prete, Principal of Potter Road Elementary School and Principal Mentor
Aline Freitas, Parent
Gen Grieci, Director of Bilingual Education
Marc Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Family Service of Metrowest
Mike Koziara, Physical Education Teacher and Department Head
Dr. Coretta McCarter, Director Title I and Grants
Michelle Melick, Principal of Cameron Middle School
Bobby Ortiz, Jr., Custodian
Gloria Pascual, Member of the School Committee (District 8)
Fernando Silveira, Parent
Laura Spear, Director of Special Education
Judy Styer, Director of Health and Wellness

The Screening Committee is tasked with looking through the applications, ranking the applicants, and deciding on roughly seven applicants to interview. The committee then recommends 3-4 candidates to meet with the teachers, community and Dr. Tremblay. Every group has a chance to provide commentary on the candidates by completing a survey, which will only be available to Dr. Tremblay, who will make the final decision.

Note the following schedule for Screening Committee Meeting times:

Screening Committee Meeting (2nd Floor Perini Boardroom): Thursday, May 31, 4-8:30 p.m.
Screening Committee Interviews with Candidates (2nd Floor Perini Boardroom): June 4 and June 5, 4pm - 8:30 pm

The duties of the Screening Committee ends with the recommendation of the finalists. However, the members of the Screening Committee are welcome to attend the Parent/Community “Meet the Candidates Forums” that will follow the announcement of the finalists.
