Shepard Receives Endorsement From Service Employees Union
The former councilor is running for state representative for the 6th Middlesex District

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Margareth Shepard announced on Thursday that she has earned the endorsement of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 888 in her campaign for state representative.
"SEIU 888 is proud to support the candidacy of Margareth Shepard for state representative in the Sixth Middlesex District,” the union said in a statement. “In her time as a city councilor, Margareth has always supported the rights of working-class people, and sending her to the Statehouse would be a great step forward for the labor movement.”
SEIU Local 888 unites 8,000 public service workers- notably state, municipal and education workers - in Massachusetts in providing vital support and services to municipalities. The union fights against budget cuts to public services, while winning contracts to guarantee better working conditions for members and electing pro-worker, pro-labor legislators.
