SLIDESHOW: 16th Annual Connolly Golf Tourney Supports Breast Cancer Center

Framingham Country Club hosted the 17th Annual Herb Connolly Classic Golf Tourney to support Mt. Auburn Hospital's Hoffman Breast Center.

For 16 years, the Connolly Auto Group has held the Herb Connolly Classic Golf outing.

Friday, the 16th Annual Herb Connolly Classic Golf Tourney was held at the Framingham County Club.

Funds raised will go to the Mt. Auburn Hospital’s Hoffman Breast Center.

Since the tournament began, more than $200,000 has been raised with more than $100,000 going to Mt Auburn Hospital, where Kathy Connolly was treated at the Hoffman Center, before she succumbed to cancer at the end of 2008.

The Hoffman Breast Center delivers comprehensive, patient focused education, screening and treatment of all aspects of women’s breast health in a compassionate, professional and supportive environment.

After golfing, participants were treated to a steak dinner. There was also a silent auction.

The event is a family outing, with many members of the Connolly family volunteering.
