SLIDESHOW: Women's Lacrosse Defeats MCLA 16-4
Framingham State University women's lacrosse team is now 4-2 on the season and undefeated in the conference.
Behind six goals from senior Zoe Reilly (Boyertown, PA), the Framingham State University women’s lacrosse team defeated MCLA 16-4 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Fieldin Framingham.
With the win, the Rams improve to 4-2 on the year and are 2-0 in the conference, while the loss drops the Trailblazers to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the MASCAC.
The Rams took the lead for good just twenty seconds into the contest on Reilly’s first goal of the game. Reilly found the back of net four times in the opening half, while sophomores Tori Lane and Jessica Graham connected for two apiece as the Rams built a 10-1 lead at the break.

Senior Rebecca Pike accounted for the Trailblazers lone goal in the first half when she converted a free position shot that tied the game at 1-1 with just over 25 minutes left in the opening half.
Framingham State opened the second half with three straight goals including two from Reilly to extend their lead to double digits. MCLA’s Mackenizie Cutler found the back of the net with just over 20 minutes remaining. Cutler tallied a pair of second half goals for the visitors.

Graham finished the game with four goals for the Rams, while sophomore Kristen Hoggins tallied a game-high three assists.
The Rams outshot the visitors 26-17 and held an 18-13 edge in ground balls. Junior Alysha Cericola and freshman Kelsey Morgan combined to make eight saves for the Rams, while sophomore Alexandra David picked up six stops for the Trailblazers.
The Rams are back in action Monday evening when they travel to Wheelock for a non-conference game beginning at 8 p.m.
