Sousa Receives Endoresement Of Framingham Firefighters Union

School Committee Chair Priscila Sousa is running for state representative for the 6th Middlesex district.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Framingham School Committee Chair Priscila Sousa, a community activist and entrepreneur, on Monday announced her endorsement by the Framingham Firefighters IAFF Local 1652 for state representative of the 6th Middlesex district.

“Local 1652 is pleased to announce its endorsement of Priscila Sousa for State Representative of the 6th Middlesex district. Priscila will work tirelessly to advocate for everyone in Framingham and bring fresh ideas and new solutions to the issues that are present in Framingham,” said union president Andrew Rokes. “Local 1652 is proud to stand with Priscila as she works for the residents of Framingham.”

“Our first responders deserve a state representative who will stand with them on Beacon Hill," said Sousa. "Every day our firefighters protect our city, and they need the equipment and resources to keep themselves and our neighbors safe. I am honored by the endorsement from Framingham Firefighters IAFF Local 1652.”

Sousa grew up on Weld Street and has been a tireless advocate for the community. She is a strong supporter of a new southside school and early education. As State Representative, focused onher goals include cleaning up ignored environmental justice sites and supporting our downtown businesses.

Sousa is running against community activist Dhruba Sen and former City Councilor Margareth Shepard.
