Milton had some long touchdown passes during the first half, showing great passing skill.

Framingham quarterback Jonathan Beverly started to show some passing skills of his own later on in the first half by connecting with Tramiris Anthony on a 15-yard pass and with Sam Stubbs on a 7-yard pass and a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Shane Ayotte and Jordan Ortiz had many tough runs up the middle of the defense during the half, but the Flyers trailed 21-8 at halftime.

The Flyers could have kept their heads down and given up, but they refused to slow down and turned on their motors to attempt a comeback.

Jonathan Beverly continued to show composure in the pocket while passing, and the Flyers shortened Milton’s lead to 21-16 when Jordan Ortiz had a touchdown run.

The next possession, Sam Stubbs put a stop to Milton’s passing success by intercepting a throw, giving Framingham the ball and an opportunity to take the lead. Jonathan Beverly threw a 35-yard bomb to Stubbs and connected with Stubbs again on 15 yard pass.

Ortiz then rushed for his second touchdown of the day, and Stubbs’ 2-point kick gave Framingham a 24-21 lead.

After all three of Framingham’s touchdowns, they successfully converted 2 point kicks, something most teams at their age aren’t able to do.

The Framingham defense halted Milton from scoring for the rest of the game.

They recovered a Milton fumble late in the 4th quarter and Jordan Ortiz had a sack as time expired.

The Flyers won by a score of 24-21 in a comeback victory.

Next week, the Flyers travel to Natick to face our rivals.
