VIDEO: 21 People Escape From Multi-Family Framingham Blaze

Framingham Firefighters encountered flames coming from the windows, when they arrived at the Eames Street house early Saturday morning.

Framingham firefighters used every piece of equipment in town to battle a blaze at 2 Eames Street, early Saturday morning.

Thankfully, all 21 people living at the multi-family home escaped from the 3 a.m. fire on April 4, said fire officials.

Framingham Patch posted a new alert report at 4 a.m. on Saturday, after the second alarm was pulled.

There was “lots of fire upon our arrival,” just like the March Beaver Street fire, said Framingham Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Burns.

“It is tough to fight those fires when they have such a big head start,” said Burns.

Firefighters were still on the scene of the 2-alarm fire until 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The multi-family home, listed with 9 bedrooms, is not far from Framingham Fire headquarters on Loring Drive. It is owned by Luis Garcia.

The home is not livable. There was heavy damage to the second and third floors and the roof collapsed, according to the Framingham Fire department.

The American Red Cross is helping those displaced.

Firefighters from Ashland, Natick, Sudbury, Southborough, and Wayland covered the town’s stations for other calls, while Framingham battled the blaze.
