VIDEO: Rep. Clark Says It's Time To End Wage Discrimination

On average, women earn 77 cents for every dollar men earn.

For African American women, it is even less at 63 cents and only 53 cents for Latina women.

Today, April 14 marks “Equal Pay Day,” a date that symbolizes how far into the new year the average American woman would have to work to earn what the average American man did in the previous year.

Congresswoman Katherine Clark, a Democrat who represents Framingham speaking in Washington D.C. today said it is time to end wage discrimination. Watch her full statement in the video link below.

Clark said the Paycheck Fairness Act was the very first bill she co-sponsored.
