Where You Will Find Construction The First Week of School
Below is a list of Town of Framingham and MassDOT construction projects.

School starts this week for most Framingham Public School students.
Below is a list of Town of Framingham and MassDOT construction projects.
- AUBURN STREET AREA: Curb installation and structure work will begin. Expect significant delays.
- BEAVER STREET: Damaged drain line will be removed and replaced. Expect moderate delays.
- CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: Construction of the new bridge will continue. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road Bridge. Please allow additional travel time.
- COBURN STREET AREA: The contractor will continue curbing and sidewalk work on Bethany Road, Bridges Street, Bridges Street Extension and Clifford Street. In addition, water main replacement will begin on Cedar Street from Cypress Street to Winthrop Street. Expect delays.
- CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The MassDOT contractor will continue construction activities on Hollis Street, Concord Street and Irving Street. Expect moderate delays and on-street parking restrictions.
- DYER STREET: Open to local residents and emergency vehicles only during construction.
- EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: The contractor will continue night work Monday through Friday evening, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Anticipated construction includes conduit installation on Hollis Street. Expect moderate delays.
- MAIN STREET: The contractor will continue to install water services on Main Street between the Sudbury River Bridge and Union Avenue. A detour will be in place Monday-Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on this section of the roadway. Please seek alternate route. Expect delays. Night work will continue Sunday-Thursday 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. between Franklin Street and High Street. One-way alternating traffic will be implemented on this section of the roadway. Police details will be on site to facilitate traffic. Expect moderate delays.
- MILLWOOD STREET AND WINCH STREET: The contractor will be installing street signage and striping. Expect delays.
- NICHOLAS ROAD: Casting adjustments and curb work will begin. Expect minimal delays.
- ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Construction continues on the middle section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect moderate delays.
- SALEM END ROAD AND TEMPLE STREET: It is anticipated that driveway aprons will be adjusted and pavement markings will be installed. The project area is Temple Street south of Route 9 and on Salem End Road between the Reservoir Bridge and Winter Street. Expect delays.
- WATER STREET: Pavement markings will be installed. Expect significant delays.
