William J. Welch Jr., 83, Has Died

William James Welch, Jr. of Framingham died Thursday March 26, 2015, following a period of declining health.

He was 83 and the husband of Ruth E. (Witte) Welch.

Born in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Dr. William and Genevieve (Baker) Welch, he attended Norwich University of Vermont and completed his education at Northeastern University.

He served 4 years with the United States Marine Corps and later was employed at Raytheon, Bank of Boston and the Zayre Corp.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he leaves two nephews and was the brother of the late Carrie (Welch) Perry.

Interment services are private and under the direction of the Duckett-J. S. Waterman Home of Memorial Tribute, Sudbury.
