
The town beach opens this weekend, with a special day Saturday, June 16 for canines, followed by the official beach opening Sunday.
Bring your dog to Silver Lake Beach for a swim from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Hot Dippity Dog. Those attending are asked to clean up after their dogs (bags are provided) and to bring a donation for a local shelter. Pet toys, bedding, newspapers and food will all be accepted.
Then the human population gets its chance when the beach opens Sunday, June 17. The beach is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Beach permits are required. The permits are $50 per household, with a $25 replacement fee. The fee for Grafton residents older than 65 is $10.
The fee for non-residents is $75. A daily pass is $5 per person per day; those younger than two are admitted free if accompanied by an adult older than 18.

The beach is scheduled to close Saturday, Aug. 25.
