Fire At Transfer Station In Grafton Draws Regional Response
A fire at the Creeper Hill Road warehouse, which stores sand, took several hours to put out.
GRAFTON, MA β Firefighters from across the area converged on a two-alarm blaze Monday night at a commercial facility along Creeper Hill Road.
The fire broke out around 11 p.m. in a warehouse at a transfer station used to store sand and other materials. Firefighters arrived to find flames visible from the roof of the warehouse building.
"Grafton fire was operating at 109 Creeper Hill Road for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival there was heavy fire coming from the roof. The fire was contained to the roof stacks of their processing equipment. We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their response to the scene and covering our stations," the Grafton Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

Firefighters from Westborough and Sutton responded to help put out the blaze and cover the rest of the town. The fire wasn't completely put out until after 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to Sutton firefighters.
