WORCESTER – Julia Enright was found guilty of second-degree murder today in the death of a 20-year-old Westminster man, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Enright, 24, of Ashburnham, was charged in the death of Brandon Chicklis, who had last been seen by his family on June 23, 2018. His body was discovered weeks later on the side of Route 119 in Rindge, N.H. Enright was arrested in July 2018 and has been in custody since her arrest.
The Superior Court jury who convicted Enright heard 10 days of testimony and deliberated for roughly 2 days before reaching the verdict.
“I’d like to commend Assistant District Attorney Terry McLaughlin, Senior First Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Travers, and First Assistant District Attorney Jane Sullivan for their hard work on this case,” Early said. “This case involved nearly 240 exhibits and more than 45 witnesses from multiple jurisdictions. The verdict today is a direct result of their diligent and meticulous work. Thanks also to Victim Witness Advocate Margaret Rwaramba for helping to support Mr. Chicklis’ family through this process.”
Early also thanked the many law enforcement agencies who worked on this case, including the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, State Police in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Ashburnham and Westminster Police, State Police Crime Scene Services, the State Police Dive Team, the State Police Special Emergency Response Team, State Police civilian forensic scientists, the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
Enright will be sentenced by Worcester Superior Court Judge Daniel Wrenn on Jan. 18.
