• As Berkshire County's housing crisis continues to spiral, Stockbridge teams up with Construct to offer rent and mortgage support (wamc.org) — A Stockbridge-funded partnership with Great Barrington-based Construct is expanding rent and mortgage assistance that already helps keep Great Barrington and other South County residents in their homes. The program offers short-term support for renters and now homeowners facing sudden crises, like job loss or medical emergencies, amid soaring housing costs and rising evictions. Construct staff say this winter’s housing and homelessness pressures across the Berkshires are especially severe.
