15 Votes for McMullin in Wenham

WENHAM, MA – Of the 2,477 votes cast in Wenham, 52 voters left the presidential option blank and 15 people wrote in Independent candidate Evan McMullin. Hillary Clinton won the town with 1,368

The 52 voters that did not vote for a president were joined by Gov. Charlie Baker, who told reporters on Tuesday that he did not fill out the presidential option.

According to the preliminary numbers, 86 percent of registered Wenham voters turned out to vote this cycle. Wenham said "no" to Question 4 on recreational marijuana with 1,303 to 1,139 votes, but the initiative passed statewide.

Wenham went for Anne Manning-Martin for Essex County sheriff with 963 votes over Sheriff-Elect Kevin Coppinger's 768 votes in town. One person wrote in a candidate, and 333 people left the option blank.
