5 Things You Need to Know for the Week Ahead in Hamilton, Wenham

From deadlines to fun times, take a look at what you need to know for Dec. 7-13 in Hamilton and Wenham.

  1. Leaf Pickup in Hamilton. Dec. 12 is the last scheduled curbside pickup for Hamilton residents. Leaves must be out by 7 a.m. and must be contained in biodegradable bags or trash cans.
  2. CANCELED. The Library Trustee Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8, has been canceled due to speaker injury. Organizers hope to reschedule the event for the spring.
  3. Senior Citizen Property Tax Abatement Work-Off. Applications are now being accepted for this program. Check out additional details.
  4. “Stuff a Cruiser.” The Hamilton Police Department will hold its annual “Stuff a Cruiser” event at the PSB on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Donated toys will be given to Boston Children’s Hospital and local children in need.
  5. Trees for Troops. Mahoney’s Garden Centers is once again collecting donations for the Trees for Troops program. This year, you can donate in one of the eight Massachusetts Mahoney’s locations, over the phone and online. Check out details here.
