Updated: Residents Okay After Wenham Blaze
A structure fire spread through a two-story Wenham home on Wednesday morning.
WENHAM, MA – A fire spread from the kitchen of a two-story home on Pleasant Street into the second floor and attic in a blaze reported at 10:33 a.m. on Wednesday.
Wenham Fire, assisted by Hamilton and Beverly, knocked out the fire. The resident had safely evacuated before fire and police got there, according to Wenham Fire Chief Robert Blanchard.
Essex, Manchester, and Topsfield Fire Departments covered the Wenham Fire Station during efforts to fight the blaze. Wenham Police, Lyons Ambulance, and Rehab 5 assisted Wenham Fire at the scene.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Blanchard reported on Thursday that while the damage is extensive, the house can be repaired.
