Gloucester Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested
Police arrested a suspect on Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery last month.

GLOUCESTER, MA – After a man wearing a ski mask robbed the Paprika Grill on Feb. 20, Gloucester Police have arrested a suspect.
Police arrested George A. Doherty, 26, of Gloucester, on charges of armed and masked robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and larceny over $250.
Last month, the suspect came in the front door of the grill on Washington Street brandishing a knife and demanding money from the cash register. The suspect grabbed the drawer and tried to run, but dropped it. The suspect grabbed some cash and ran.

Gloucester Police and a K-9 unit tried to track the suspect on Feb. 20, but couldn't find him. An investigation led to Doherty, according to a statement from the Gloucester Police.
