Hamilton Gets New Notification System

Residents can now sign up to receive emergency alerts over text, phone calls, emails, and a mobile app.

HAMILTON, MA – The Town of Hamilton blog reports that the town has licensed the CodeRED Community Notification System to alert residents of emergencies and need-to-know information.

According to the post, residents can sign up to get alerts through phone calls, text messages, and emails. There are choices to get notifications for just emergencies or general announcements.

"We encourage all residents and businesses to go to the town website, click on the CodeRED logo to enter your contact information – including additional phone numbers, text numbers and email addresses – to ensure all of the data in our system is accurate and current," Police Chief Russell Stevens said in the blog post.
