Wenham Father, Daughter Killed in Wisconsin Plane Crash

Joe Trustey and his daughter, Anna, both of Wenham according to social media posts, were killed Wednesday night in a plane crash in Milwaukee, Wis.
According to a statement from Summit Partners, the Boston investment firm for which Joe Trustey served as chief operating officer, the two were on a college visit tour in the Midwest when the crash occurred.

“Joe was uniquely distinguished in so many ways: as a partner, a leader and a friend. He was a wonderful husband and father who also cared deeply for those with whom he worked both inside and outside the firm,” said Summit’s Mary Mannion in a statement. “He touched everybody he met with his intellect, his sterling character and his engaging sense of humor. We cannot express how much we will miss his presence in our lives.”
The single-engine plane erupted in flames and crashed at Timmerman airport on Milwaukee’s northwest side, according to an Associated Press report. Investigators are still attempting to determine the cause of the crash.

According to Fortune magazine, A.J. Trustey, Joe Trustey’s son and Anna’s brother, passed away in October 2014.
The two victims are survived by wife and mother, Kristine, as well as daughters and sisters, Caroline and Claire, according to Fortune.
“Thank you, for your endless embarrassment and love,” Caroline Trustey posted on her Facebook page. “I hope to someday be half the amazing person you are. Fly with the angels Dad, I love you, and I promise to make you proud.”
