Solicitor Robbed Along Wenham Road, Police Search for Suspect
A solicitor for a public research interest group was robbed while walking along a residential road in Wenham on Tuesday evening.

Wenham police are searching for the suspect in the assault and armed robbery of a solicitor on Tuesday evening.
Police Chief Thomas Perkins said in a statement that at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday a 27-year-old woman soliciting for MASSPIRG was working an area of Burley Street near the Danvers town line when she said she was approached by a black male in his late 20s. The victim told police that the man pushed her to the ground and said that he had a gun. The man then took her iPad, purse and phone and forcibly removed her North Face fleece jacket, according to police.
He then fled in a red Toyota RAV4 sport utility vehicle into Danvers.

Burley Street is a residential area of Wenham that runs between Maple Street and Danvers, near Beverly Airport.
Police describe the suspect as bald man, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white t-shirt at the time of the robbery.

The victim told police she noticed that the Toyota had a white license plate but she did not get any of the numbers.
