Teen Poetry Contest Underway at Hamilton-Wenham Library
"Glass" is the theme for the sixth annual contest.

Teens living in Essex County are invited to submit poems for this year’s Teen Poetry Contest hosted by the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library.
The theme for this year’s contest is “Glass,” which can include associated imagery such as reflection, transparency, shatter, window, mirror, etc. Each poem must also have a title.
Entrants must be in 6th through 12th grade and can submit up to three original works. An entry form, available online, must accompany each poem. All entries must be submitted before midnight on April 30.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each of several age-related categories. Winners will be announced at a reception at Hamilton-Wenham Public Library on Thursday, May 12 from 7-9 p.m. Entrants must be present to win.
