The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee will at last have a new member.

Former member Roger Kubel resigned his seat on the committee in June, leaving a vacancy to be filled by a Wenham resident.

The initial call-out for applicants yielded no results, so the deadline to apply to fill the spot was extended to Sept. 23.

According to the superintendent’s blog, on Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Wenham Board of Selectmen and the Hamilton-Wenham School Committee will meet jointly to interview each of the five candidates who applied to fill the vacancy. Following those interviews, the school committee and board of selectmen will vote for the one member who will fill the spot until the next election in April 2016.

The interviews are open to the public, but will not be televised. The final vote will be televised.

Interview times are below:

6:30 Ed O’Reilly
7:00 Megan McGovern
7:30 Christine Williams
8:00 Emily Madden (via Skype)
