Water Discoloration in Hamilton Should be Fixed Tuesday
After some residents in East Hamilton reported discolored water, the town shut down the water main.

HAMILTON, MA – The water main on Bridge Street should be turned back on by the end of Tuesday.
According to Town Manager Michael Lombardo, when the water main was shut off for bridge work, some residents reported that their water had turned brown and discolored. Lombardo said the engineers on the bridge project will work with the contractor to make sure everything is set so the water department can turn the water main back on.
Anyone whose water is discolored should flush an outside spigot until the water runs clear, or avoid using water for several hours so the sediment can settle.
