Updated: Essex Street Reopening Extended
The road closure on Essex Street is expected to be lifted next Thursday, according to an update from the town.
WENHAM, MA – The Essex Street road closure is expected to be complete by Wednesday, Aug. 9, with the travel lane opening during business hours on Thursday, according to a post on the town website. The closure went from Grapevine Road to Beverly.
The road was previously expected to reopen on Saturday, Aug. 5, but the town released a new schedule on Friday.
Work on the Essex Street culvert at Penguin Hall began July 1, and is expected to continue through mid to late August. A travel lane will be open between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the post.
