Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.5

1. Update from Doug Lack: “Yesterday I saw my surgeon,(PA) actually, and I was given the go-ahead to do outpatient PT. (I start Friday morning.) Today I was released from VNA care! I drove for the first time yesterday...just a short drive, and it felt o.k. NO long treks for a while. I am using a cane, however bring my crutches with me just in case I need extra support. PT was prescribed for 6-8 weeks twice a week. I will still be doing PT when school is back in session in late August. I am still very tired from the Anemia but hope to keep building my strength. Thanks again to all who have reached out to provide support!” posted on the Let’s Help Mr. Lack Facebook page.
