5 Things: Doggy Olympics, New Blogger

2. Doggy Olympics in Ashland: London isn’t the only town celebrating the Olympic spirit! The staff at Best Friend Pet Care in Ashland is hosting its Doggy Olympic Games today and local canines will be jumping -- literally -- through hoops to capture the gold. Since dogs love to run, jump and wrestle, there will be plenty of action including:

• Track & Field events, including the high jump and hurdles, and pool events, like water polo and water retrieval.  
• A closing ceremony with medal presentations to the winners

3. Post your Own Events and Announcements: Now that Holliston-Hopkinton Patch has been around for a full month, people are really getting in to the flow of things. One way to help spread the word of anything in either town is to post it as an event or announcement. 4. Snappy Dog of the Week: Brigitte Bardot is the name of our Friday special: a grilled sharing the bun with pears which have been simmered in Cognac, Brie and Camembert cheeses, frisee lettuce, and garnished with spiced caramel walnuts. Oui, oui.

5. Help Patch in the Twitt-o-sphere: Do you know something we don't know? Is there a person on Twitter that is influential or knowledgeable about Hopkinton or Holliston? There are new people joining twitter every day and we don't want to miss a thing. In that mindset we're unfollowing some people that don't help with our coverage of the towns (sorry @guggenheim) and looking to replace them with new tweeters.
