Firefighters From Multiple Towns Battle Hopkinton Fire Saturday
A fire broke out at a home on Clinton Street on Saturday morning, prompting a call for mutual aid from area fire departments.

HOPKINTON, MA - A fire broke out at a Clinton Street home Saturday morning, prompting a call for mutual aid from surrounding communities to help contain it.
According to the Hopkinton Fire Department, crews from Milford, Hopedale, Westborough, Ashland, Medway and Upton helped put out the fire. No injuries were reported. Residents were advised to avoid the area Saturday morning.
Because the fire departments had to use fire hydrants, the Hopkinton Water and Sewer Department alerted residents that water may be discolored throughout the system on Saturday, according to a post on the town website.

This is the second fire reported this week. On Wednesday night, a sprinkler system contained the damage to a three-unit townhouse on Weston Road to a single room.
