Holliston Police Log: Vehicle Roll Over, Sleeping in Car

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

7:13 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle on Fieldstone Drive. The caller said it appeared as if an individual inside the car had been there all night. An officer from the  responded and spoke with the person inside the vehicle who said he had been locked out of his house and slept in the car.

8:03 a.m.: A single motor vehicle rolled over on Central Street. The vehicle was towed.

9:55 a.m.: An officer performed crosswalk enforcement; 17 pedestrians were observed, 3 jaywalked but no motor vehicle violations were observed.

1:45 p.m.: A person reported that they struck a deer on Cross Street around 6 a.m. The deer ran off in to the woods but the vehicle sustained front-end damage.

2:24 p.m.: A resident reported a larceny on Highland Street

3:27 p.m.: A resident of Washington Street reported that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and “NoBama” signs had been placed over the original signs.

9:25 p.m.: Officers cleared a large group of youths from the  area.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

1:50 a.m.: An officer lowered the flag to half-staff in Honor of Marine Corporal Kevin Dabrowski of Webster who was killed on Aug. 11.

9:39 a.m.: A caller complained about nearly being struck by a vehicle while on Railroad Street near .

11:57 p.m.: An officer encountered a juvenile operating a mini-bike on Dean Road. The juvenile and their parent were both advised.

2:46 p.m.: An officer performed crosswalk enforcement at the intersection of Washington Street and Green Street.; 24 pedestrians were observed crossing the street, 2 jaywalked. One vehicle was stopped and given a verbal warning for an failing to stop for a pedestrian.

5:38 p.m.: A caller reported a minor crash that occurred earlier in the day. No injuries were reported but there was minor damage to the vehicle.

6:18 p.m.: An officer had the several vehicle owners move their cars at  that were illegally parked.

6:19 p.m.: An officer spoke to a resident of Jerrold Street regarding missing political signs for Marty Lamb.

9:59 a.m.: A resident reported that his ex-wife had possession of a vehicle that was registered in his name. The person said there was an active restraining order involved.
