Hopkinton Woman Arrested, Tires Slashed at Price Chopper

Friday, April 5
3:54 a.m.: A resident went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report that a truck had broken down while emptying a dumpster on Church Street. An officer responded and issued the driver a citation for violating a town bylaw (violating heavy equipment at night). The truck had broken a hydraulic pump and a mechanic was on the way to assist.
6:05 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Main Street and arrested Edwin A. Mejia, 21, of 120 Lowell St., Apt. 1, Waltham. Mejia was charged with speeding and unlicensed operation.

2:01 p.m.: A caller from a business on Cedar Street reported four males in the parking lot yelling at customers entering the business. An officer asked the males to move along.
8:22 p.m.: A caller reported a number of suspicious vehicles at a sports field on Greenwood Road. An officer responded and spoke to one person who was seen in the area.

8:46 p.m.: A caller reported that a vehicle was doing donuts on the Fruit Street baseball field. An officer observed that the donuts had been done in the parking lot and not on the grass.
Saturday, April 6
1:05 a.m.: An officer spoke to a driver who was traveling 35 mph on Route 495. The driver said they were driving so slow to avoid the antelope.
11:33 a.m.: A caller reported larceny from their father’s home.
6:05 p.m.: An officer reported that a vehicle took off from him during a stop on Hayden Rowe Street. Multiple cruisers responded but they were unable to find the vehicle, which was described as a black Suburban.
10:08 p.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a bon fire on Walcott Street.
11:34 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Teresa Road and arrested Kathleen M. Dragin, 56, of 6 Colella Farm Rd. Dragin was charged with drunken-driving and marked lanes violation.
Sunday, April 7
1:15 p.m.: A resident reported that his wife’s vehicle was vandalized in the Price Chopper parking lot. A tire on the vehicle had been slashed.
1:27 p.m.: A resident of South Mill Street reported that a key and change had been stolen out of their motor vehicle.
2:34 p.m.: A caller from West Elm Street reported that 12 bags of trash had been dumped in their yard. Officers were able to find paperwork that led them to contact the Tyngsboro Police Department.
Monday, April 8
10:55 a.m.: Officers assisted the Holliston Police Department with a search for two men suspected in a break-in on Gorwin Drive in their town.
