More than 400 public transit riders rallied against the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's proposed fare increases and service cuts Sunday night, the Boston Globe reports.

Holliston's Christopher Chaisson, who rides the T to Boston to play shows with his band, said that while the increase in price is an inconvenience, it won't affect how often he uses the T.
"I view it like gas prices. I'm not going to not use gas just because it goes up in price," Chaisson said.

The MBTA's board of directors is expected to vote on the proposals in April.
