Car Goes Up In Flames In Hopkinton After Striking Tree

HOPKINTON, MA — One person was rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a crash caused a car to go up in flames on Interstate 495 in Hopkinton, fire officials said.
Investigators believe the car caught fire after striking a tree in the wooded area along the highway northbound near mile marker 56.
The fire was extinguished with water and "environmentally safe foam" and the sole occupant of the car was rushed to the hospital, the Hopkinton Fire Department said.
