Homebirth, Serious Music — and a Morning Hangout

3. LISZTOMANIA TIMES FOUR

When: Thursday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: This is cheating, because it's tonight, and a second entry from St. John's, but here's why: pianist Artem Belogurov will partner with soprano Farah Darliette Lewis and countertenor Yakov Zamir in performing Franz Liszt’s musical settings of poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller.

Why Go:  To check out the brand-new tapas bar, which founder David Doyle's describes on his website as "a tapas bar in a living-room setting, connected to an intimate store featuring a hand-picked selection of books, CDs and vinyl." See our .

When: Especially weekend mornings

Why Go: A relaxed place to get a good bite to eat plus noodle on your laptop or read the newspaper when you're not chatting with friends/family.
