The FBI recently released its annual <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2014/crime-in-the-u.s.-2014/tables/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"Crime in the United States" report</a>, which includes information about Boston.According to the report, Boston saw 4,749 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.There were 53 reported rapes, 280 robberies, and 1,680 aggravated assaults.Other crime stats for Boston include 13,077 larcenies, 2,680 burglaries, 1,512 motor vehicle thefts, and zero cases of arson.Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
