Jamaica Plain Spray Deck Still Open
Despite a deep-water public-pool drowning in Fall River, shallow-water spray decks will not close.
All state-run deep-water swimming pools are closed while the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) investigates the apparent drowning of a woman in a public Fall River pool.
Her body reportedly lay at the bottom of the pool for days without anyone noticing.
DCR Press Secretary S.J. Port said it is not known yet when the deep-water pools will re-open, but she said all spray decks remain open. She said there are no plans to close them.
