JP Boat Captain Helped Block Coal Freighter
The activists parked their small lobster boat, Henry David T., in the path of the freighter last week in Somerset.

A JP man had a hand in an anti-coal protest on the coast of Somerset last week.
Ken Ward, 57, co-captain of lobster boat Henry David T., anchored in front of a 690 foot freighter carrying 40,000 tons of coal to Brayton Point Power Station May 15, according to The Boston Globe.
Henry David T. dropped anchor at 9 a.m. and the freighter, Energy Enterprise, arrived at 11 a.m., according to the story.

The Globe reports the Coast Guard asked them to leave, but their anchor became stuck. The boat ended up leaving at 6:30 p.m. without incident.
