Mayor No-Show Doesn’t Dampen Spirits at JP Park Event

Though the Mayor did not attend his scheduled Wednesday morning coffee hour event at Brewer/Burroughs Park in Jamaica Plain, a vibrant crowd appeared on the sunny spring morning.

Michael J. Galvin, chief of public property for the Boston Public Facilities Department and Brian Swett, chief of environment and energy for the City of Boston, gave brief speeches about the event, which works to advocate for neighbors to take a hand in cleaning up their neighborhoods and to attend public parks.
