Police Look For Jackson Square 'Coward' Who Attacked Elderly Man

Transit police have released photos of the person who they say attacked an elderly man at a Jamaica Plain MBTA train station.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — The MBTA Transit Police Department has released photos of a man who allegedly violently attacked an elderly man at Jamaica Plain T-stop Thursday afternoon.

The Transit Police Department said officers responded to the Jackson Square Station after receiving word from a commuter that it looked like an elderly man was being assaulted by a young person on an Orange Line platform.

Officers investigated but were unable to track down the person they referred to in a tweet as a "coward."

Surveillance photos shared by police showed the elderly man getting attacked and punched by a younger-appearing person.

TPD is releasing photos to the public in an attempt to help locate the attacker.
