Readers React to Drinking Water in JP
JP residents sounded off about the tap water in the neighborhood.

The Jamaica Plain Forum held a program Thursday night all about Boston tap water: Where it comes from, how it's cleaned, and how safe it is for you to drink.
The process is sophisticated but the water is typically deemed great by today's standards. Jamaica Plain residents agree, according to a post asking residents how they feel about tap water:
M. Gonzalez said: "I do. Whenever I travel, I develop new appreciation for our Boston water. It's delicious. I'm sure that the pipes it travels in are not the best, but there are a lot more contaminants I'm worried about. I'm proud of our water and I love it!"

Patty said: "Boston has some of the best tasting water in the country. My sister lives in Virginia and the water there tastes metallic and it is even worse in New York where my son lives. I have had many out of town guests who are impressed that our water tastes so good coming right from the tap."
Kathy G said: "Agree with all though I do run it through a filter, not sure why."
