Stop & Shop Jamaica Plain Debuts Remodel and Expanded Selection
Stop & Shop will present Rafael Hernandez Dual Language School with $20,000 to help fight food insecurity amongst students
Stop & Shop celebrates the official grand reopening of its newly remodeled Jamaica Plain location (301 Centre Street). The new remodel is part of the brand’s multi-year commitment to refresh stores across its footprint and improve the customer shopping experience.

· Over 800 new products across the store including and expanded Multicultural assortment featuring:
o Popular Caribbean & West Indian brands
o Seasonings, spices, and flavors from across the world,
o New Halal Products across dairy and grocery

To celebrate the store’s official reopening, Stop & Shop is hosting sampling and giveaways on Friday, April 11th from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, April 12th and 13th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. On Friday, April 11th Chef Paul Wahlberg will be on site to meet with customers from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Stop & Shop will also hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday April 11th at 11 a.m. and present a check for $20,000 to Rafael Hernandez Dual Language K-8 School as part of its School Food Pantry Program.
Established in 2019, the Stop & Shop School Food Pantry program was established to help limit barriers impacting students’ ability to succeed in the classroom by making sure that they have consistent access to food. The program currently serves over 260 schools across the Northeast and is one of the largest school food pantry programs in the country. This is the fifth year that Stop & Shop has partnered with the Rafael Hernandez School, and has provided the school with over $90,000 in total to ensure students in need have access to nutritious, shelf stable food items.
Stop & Shop Jamaica Plain is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. For more information visit Stopandshop.com.
