$5 Million Scratch-Off Winner Sold At Lexington Store: Mass Lottery

One of two top prizes in an instant ticket game was sold at a Lexington store recently.

LEXINGTON, MA — A $5 million lottery prize was sold at a Lexington store, according to Mass Lottery. M & J Nominee Trust of Boston claimed the prize in the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Bryan MacCormack, chose the cash option on its prize and received a one-time payment of $3,250,000 before taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cigars Palace, 319 Woburn St. in Lexington. The store received a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The lucky winner overcame 5,040,000-to-one odds to land the game's top prize.

A ticket costs $20. The player's overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.86.
