5 Things: A Dance Explosion, An Upcoming Carnival Kickoff
A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 1 in Lexington.

1. Lions Club Carnival: The Lexington Lions Club's annual Fourth of July Carnival opens tomorrow, July 2, at 6 p.m. Check out a full schedule here.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, the only public meeting posted for today is the Board of Selectmen at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building.
3. Summer Dance Explosion: At 4 p.m. today over at in Bedford, there's a high-energy dance class for children ages 5 to 10. Summer Dance Explosion, located at 12 Mudge Way, is an eight-week session beginning today, July 1s, and runnig every Monday this summer though Aug. 19. Drop in for $15 per class, or buy a summer dance card and pay just $55 for 4 classes, $70 for 6 classes, or $80 for 8 classes. 5. Storms are Threatening: Heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast for today with a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more rain overnight and a low of 67.
