A Two-Car Collision on Stormy Monday Evening in Lexington
No injuries reported from an accident that occurred during the early evening thunderstorm on Monday, June 17.
Shortly before 6 p.m., during what to that point was probably the height of the storm, two cars collided at the intersection of Bedford Street and Harrington Road in Lexington.
There were no apparent injuries.

Members of the Lexington Police and Fire departments, along with a local towing company responded to the scene. As the rain poured down in buckets, an employee from Mal's hopped out of his truck to sweep debris from the puddled pavement.
Thunder clapped above as vehicles crept by on their way in and out of the town's center. Responders checked out the drivers and passengers, and began to piece together details of the crash.

According to members of the Lexington Police Department at the scene, the two-car collision was called in at 5:50 p.m., as a two-car collision into a pole.
It appeared the accident occurred as the vehicles crossed through the intersection of Bedford and Harrington, police said. Both cars ended up on the shoulder of the westbound side of Bedford Street after apparently entering the intersection from Harrington Road.
There were no injuries reported at the scene, according to police, who said the Fire Department was called to the scene as two airbags were deployed.
The accident remains under investigation.
