OBITUARY: Beverly G. (Guernsey) Kunigan

Beverly G. (Guernsey) Kunigan, 74, of Liverpool passed away unexpectedly on Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. She was born in Lexington, and has resided in Liverpool for the past 50 years.

Beverly was employed by Liberty Resources in Syracuse as a family care social worker and program supervisor. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Kunigan, her sister, Barbara (Guernsey) Eddy and her parents, Donald and Genevra Guernsey.

She is survived by her best friend, Linda Benton (and her family), her daughter, Julia Kunigan with her partner Brian of Orlando, FL;  two sons, Anthony Kunigan with his wife Alane of Columbus, GA and Glenn Kunigan of Rochester, NY;  five wonderful grandchildren, Mary, Daniel, Josiah, Morgan, Anna and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Northminster Presbyterian Church, 7444 Buckley Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212 with a reception to follow.

Private burial will take place in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Northminster Presbyterian Church in North Syracuse in Beverly’s memory.
