Beat the Heat: Lexington Town Pool, Old Res Open Extended Hours Today
With expected highs in the 90s, Lexington Recreation will offer residents an extended opportunity to cool off in one of the town swimming holes.

The Town Pool Complex & the Old Reservoir will be open extended hours on today, Monday, June 24, due to the forecasts predicting a high in the 90s.
According to an announcement from the town, the Irving H. Mabee Town Pool Complex will be open from 12 to 8:45 p.m. and the Old Reservoir will be open from 12 to 7 p.m.
The extended hours offered today, June 24 -- the last official day of school for the Lexington Public Schools --will be typical hours for the summer season, according to the Recreation Department's website. Both local swimming holes opened June 1, and operate longer hours when school gets out.

The town pool will remain in open through Sept. 2. The Old Res, which will have some limited parking due to the ongoing construction, will remain open through Aug. 18.
