Deadline To Return Lexington Nomination Papers Coming Up

LEXINGTON, MA — The year 2021 is revving up with election prep for Lexington's 2021 town-wide election.

While the election is still three months away, the deadline to return nomination papers is fast approaching. Nomination papers went live in the town on Dec. 4 and the last day to take out nomination papers is on Friday. The deadline to return them is Jan. 11.

Lexington's town election is March 1.

The following positions are on the 2021 ballot:

  • One Select Board for a term of three years
  • One Moderator for a term of one year
  • Two School Committee members for a term of three years
  • Two Planning Board members for a term of three years
  • One Lexington Housing Authority member for a term of five years
  • Town Meeting Members positions in precincts 1 through 9 are available
According to the town clerk's website, the only contested race is for the Planning Board, aside from several Town Meeting Member positions. Check out who pulled nomination papers so far.
