FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Lexington?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Lexington.

According to the report, Lexington saw 10 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were three robberies, and 7 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Lexington include 181 larcenies, 34 burglaries, and five motor vehicle thefts.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
