LEXINGTON, MA – It's about that time of year again – the Old Reservoir and Irving H. Mabee Town Pool are nearly open. Both complexes are slated to open Saturday, June 3 to kick off the season. The Old Reservoir on Marrett Road is a freshwater pond with a sandy beach. It is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. During the weeks of June 5 and June 13, its hours will be 2-7 p.m. daily.
The town pool, located Worthen Road at the Center Recreation Complex, is also open seven days per week. On weekdays, programs include American Red Cross swim classes, adult lap swim, diving lessons, Adult Aqua Aerobics and the swim team.
Public swim hours are typically 12:45-4:30 p.m. and 7-8:45 p.m. The Recreation and Community Programs Department sells seasonal memberships to the facilities, which includes a limited number of non-resident family memberships that are sold in March.
